Manage DataBase Users

This interface allows server administrators to retrieve a list of database users, each users database, and which account owns each database user. The server administrator can use this interface to rename database users.

Database users

This interface provides a table of all of the database users on the server.

Click each column heading to sort the list by that column. Search for a particular user with the Search text box.

Rename a database user

To rename a database user, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the pencil icon in the row that corresponds to the database user.
  2. Enter the new name for the database user in the Rename to text box.

    Important:

    To learn more about database username limits, click your database type to expand the following:

     MySQL
     MariaDB 
  3. Enter a new password for the user in the Set Password text box. 

    Note:

    This step is optional.

  4. Click Submit to confirm that you wish to rename the database user.
    • To cancel the action, click Close.
