Configuration File Rollback

Configuration File Rollback

This feature allows you to restore a configuration file for Apache, Pure-FTP or ProFTP, and the nameserver (named or nsd) daemons. This is useful when the current configuration for any of these daemons does not work.

Configuration files

The following table lists the configuration files that you can roll back:

File location
Description
Type of server daemon
/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf Apache web server
/etc/named.conf named DNS server
/etc/nsd.conf NSD DNS server
/etc/pure-ftp.conf Pure-FTP FTP server
/etc/proftp.conf ProFTP FTP server

Note:

The interface only displays buttons for the configuration files of your server's installed daemons.

Restore configuration files

To restore the configuration files, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the button that corresponds to the configuration file that you wish to restore. The interface will display the desired server daemon's configuration file.

    Note:

You cannot edit the file from the interface.

  2. Use the < and > buttons to select the desired backup file.Click Restore.
    • The interface displays the file's version number, date, and time between the navigation buttons.
  3. Click Restore.
